New Vaquita Sculpture

After reading about the endangered Totoaba fish and how they are being hunted to the brink of extinction for their swim bladders Jacha was inspired to create a life sized sculpture of a Totoaba. He recycled cardboard and tin cans to make the sculpture.

A bycatch of the illegal gilnet fishery for the Totoaba is a small porpoise called the Vaquita. There are estimated to be only 30 Vaquitas led tin the world. After discovering this Jacha then created a life-sized sculpture of a Vaquita to display with the Totoaba in the Galeri.
